Ilitch Companies' Colleagues Give Back Through New Charity Partner Program!

The Charity Partner Program is a goods-based donation program for Ilitch companies' colleagues to donate items to support local charities. 

The program supports Ilitch Charities' mission of providing for local charities and it is also an easy opportunity for our colleagues to show their spirit of giving by directly providing for those in need in our community.

This will be the first of a number of colleague-driven programs with a focus on getting Ilitch companies' colleagues fully involved in Ilitch Charities' mission!

 Ilitch Charities Raises over $200,000 to Support Local Community;
Announces Dates for 2011 Events

 

DETROIT – The 3rd Annual Ilitch Charities One Team, One Community Gala and Celebrity Golf Classic were the most successful yet, raising over $230,000 to support the local community. Once again, top Hollywood celebrities, local and national sports stars and media personalities supported the sold out events. This year’s benefitting organizations are Forgotten Harvest, Goodwill Industries of Detroit, S.A.Y. Detroit and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Each will receive $35,000 during an on-field ceremony prior to tonight’s Tigers game. The remaining funds will help Ilitch Charities continue its mission of supporting local organizations committed to making long-term, positive change in our region. PRESS RELEASE

Ilitch Charities Awards $20,000 in Scholarships to Local Youth Hockey Players

 

DETROIT – Ilitch Charities, the charitable arm of the Ilitch companies, today awarded $20,000 in scholarships to eight student athletes from the Little Caesars AAA Hockey program and the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL). The students were honored at a ceremony at Hockeytown Café in Detroit emceed by Ken Daniels, play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit television. Ilitch Charities Chairman Christopher Ilitch presented the scholarships to the following honorees:

Ilitch Charities Donates $200,000 to Facilitate Long-Term Positive Change

Sets August 31, 2009 for 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic at Oakland Hills

DETROIT – Fun and philanthropy were par for the course at the inaugural Ilitch Charities Celebrity Golf Classic as top Hollywood celebrities, local and national sports stars and media personalities turned out to help raise important funds for the local community.  The two-day event kicked off with the Summer Soiree on Sunday, August 24, 2008, at MotorCity Casino Hotel.  The golf event was held on Monday August 25, 2008, at the prestigious Oakland Hills Country Club.  Both the pre-party and golf outing sold out.  Thanks in part to the generous title sponsorship of Buick, GM R Works and MotorCity Casino Hotel, the events helped raise funds to enable Ilitch Charities to present a total of $200,000 to benefit the Greening of Detroit’s Conservation Leadership Corps and the Guidance Center’s Project CEO.  PRESS RELEASE
